We are pleased to announce that we will be offering two Financial Aid Workshops on Thursday, November 1 at 5:30 PM (snowdate: November 7, 2018) in the Ellenville H.S. Media Center. Mr. Chris Chang, Director of Financial Aid at SUNY Ulster County Community College will be here to help parents and students navigate the Financial aid process.

 
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Workshop: Affording College Costs
Description: This workshop is to familiarize student/parents with the overall financial aid process. Descriptions of the aid application process, eligibility and types of aid available.

THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR 11TH & 12TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS.
Time: 6:30 - 7:30 PM
Workshop: FAFSA Completion
Description: Students and Parents will have an opportunity to complete the 2019-20 FAFSA online with hands on assistance from Mr. Chris Chang, Director of Financial Aid at SUNY Ulster.

THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR 12TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS.

Things to do before attending the FAFSA Completion workshop:

  1. Request a FSA ID. If your child is considered dependent student and files the FAFSA online, both you and your child will need to register for a FSA ID at www.fafsa.ed.gov
  2. Gather required forms. The following information is needed when fillig out the FAFSA:
    • Student's social security number
    • Student Alien Registration Number (if you are not a US citizen)
    • Your most recent federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned.
      (Note: You may be able to transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.)
    • Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
    • Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
    • An FSA ID to sign electronically
If you are a dependent student, then you will also need most of the above information from your parents.
